‘Your AT&T Bill Is Ready To Be Paid Now’ - Email Alert

If you’re just getting into your office to finish what’s left of the work week, be on the lookout for an Email with the subject line ‘Your AT&T Bill Is Ready To Be Paid Now’ as this is likely a phishing Email designed to cause you computer problems on the last day of the week.
The hoax message purports to be sent from [email protected] and contains the following text:
Your online bill is ready to be viewed
Dear Esteemed Customer,
A new bill for your AT&T account is prepared.
Any payments made after your bill period expires will not be shown in the bill amount listed directly below. If you have made a recent payment, please refer to the current balance on the Account Overview and the Bill & Payments pages.

Unlike other phishing attempts this Email ‘mixes things up’ by providing both what look to be legitimate links to AT&T’s website and malicious links that resolve to a .br domain extension. To make a long story short, if you get this Email message be sure to delete it from your inbox immediately and be certain not to click on any links contained therein.
